rjdriscoll Kriek Ale (2009), Cascade 10.0 02/21/2012 02/23/2012 Shared this sour with some friend in Cambridge over the weekend. They've never had a sour before. The pungent smell turned them off at first but once they sipped this delicious brew they were hooked. This one is certainly enjoyed best slowly. A great tart finish. I highly recommend it.

With a name like Union Jack, I would have expected that it had the softened water mouthfeel of a british ale but it didn't - this is classic American all the way.

Had one that just seemed off the last time. it has a good IPA taste that again if you get the right batch hits the spot. Giving a 7.5 for that one that just seemed off.
PatB Hinterland Oktoberfest, Hinterland 9.5 04/07/2012 04/07/2012 I am a big fan of HInterland and this beer is what started it. Picked up during the fall and was one that I bought more than a few before the season went out. It is smooth and has that fall taste you expect from an Octoberfest. I have moved on to other Hinterland brews and have not had one I did not like. When they get it back I suggest a try.

It has a sweet taste and as you will see from other Hinterland reviews I like this brewery. while maybe not something you would drink a lot of in one sitting it is one I would by again. I am not sure I would put it on pancakes but maybe...... ;-)

I found this to have good pale ale flavor and a very light feeling that allows it to go down fast, smooth and easy. I'd buy this again for a decent beer on a hot day.

I prefer a bit more hops and this had a malty aftertaste that was a little sweet for my liking. I'd say it's a run of the mill ale in a shop that has way more to offer than something this average.
